President's House

What types of events can be held at the UF President's House?
The property can accommodate any type of event from five to 500 attendees including plated or buffet meals, receptions, retreats, conferences, meetings, fundraisers, alumni gatherings, themed parties, pre and post-sporting event gatherings and pre and post -graduation gatherings.

How do I get to the UF President's House?
The address is 2151 W. University Ave. The house is located between SW 2nd Ave. and W. University Ave. at NW 22nd Street. MAP

Where do guests park during an event?
The O'Connell Center parking lot can accommodate most after-hours events. Limited parking is available at the circular drive of the house and is ideal for VIP's or small events. We will assist you with parking arrangements.

Will a UF President's House representative attend my event?
Yes. An event coordinator from the UF President's House will be present at every event to assist you with any need or challenge that arises. All events also require the presence of a representative from the hosting organization.

What are the restrictions placed on my event?
The event must be sponsored/hosted by an approved University of Florida group or organization and is available between the hours of 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. Please refer to Guidelines for Using the President's House for more information on restrictions.

What time can I have my event? Can event times be extended the day of the event?
The UF President's House is available to rent from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. seven days a week. Event times can be extended only if the house is available and will incur an additional rental fee.

What does my rental fee include?
The rental fee includes the cost of rental and clean-up of the physical space only.

Can I have food and/or beverages at my event?
Food and beverage can be provided by an approved caterer.

Do you have an approved list of entertainers?
We can assist you with choosing entertainment. All entertainment must be approved in writing by the UF President's Office at least one week prior to your event.

Can I use decorations during my event?
Standard decorations like linens, flowers and plants are acceptable. No confetti, glitter, rice/bird seed, or similar items may be used in the UF President's House. Candles may be used only if in a glass enclosure such as a globe or hurricane lamp; candles may not be taller than the enclosure. Banners, posters and/or flyers may not be hung or attached to walls in any event space. No banners may be hung on the exterior of the UF President's House without prior written permission from the President's Office. All other decorations must be approved in writing by the UF President's Office.

Is photography allowed during my event?
Yes.

Is smoking allowed in the UF President's House?
No.

Is the UF President's House handicap accessible?
Yes.

Do I need to have security at my event? Is there security provided for my event?
Security is required for any event during which alcohol is served. The President's Office will determine if security is required for other events. The hosting organization will be billed directly by University Police Department for security.

Do you provide sound systems and audio visual during events?
The house has limited A/V equipment but, with approval from the President;s Office, outside equipment may be brought in. An approved vendor also may provide A/V services.

Is coat check provided for events?
Yes. Cicerones will be arranged by the President's Office for most events. They will assist with coat check, name tag distribution and other tasks as requested.

Am I responsible for set-up and clean-up for my event? How long will this take?
No. The approved caterer will handle set-up and clean-up of all catering supplies and a fee will be included on your final catering bill. The UF President's House staff will be responsible for clean-up of the physical space and the cost is included.

Are there restroom facilities available for use in the UF President's house?
Yes. There are five restrooms for guests.
